                    Our Mission
Debre Menkrat St.Emmanuel and St.Rufael Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church exists to glorify God by preserving and proclaiming the Orthodox faith, administering the holy sacraments, and nurturing a spiritual, cultural, and moral foundation for the Ethiopian Orthodox community inthe diaspora. Through worship, teaching, fellowship, and service, we strive to build a Church rooted in tradition and open to all who seek the grace and truth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Services At Debre Menkrat St.Emmanuel and St.Rufael Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church,weoffer spiritual services grounded in the sacred traditions of  the Ethiopian Orthodox faith. These services are central to our worship life and serve as moments of deep connection with God and one another.

            Divine Liturgy (ቅዳሴ)
Our main weekly worship service, the Divine Liturgy, is held every Sunday from 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM.This sacred service includes scripture readings, ancient hymns, prayers in Ge’ez, and thea celebration of the Holy Eucharist. All are welcome to participate in this powerful encounter with God.

               Baptism (ጥምቀት)
“Go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost…”  Matthew 28:19 Baptism marks the beginning of a life in Christ. Whether for infants or adults, this holy sacrament is performed with prayer, preparation, and reverence  It symbolizes rebirth and entrance into the family of the Church.To schedule a baptism or speak with a priest about preparation, please contact the church office.

        Holy Matrimony (ጋብቻ)
“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Mark 10:9 Marriage in the Ethiopian Orthodox faith is a sacred covenant. Through the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony, couples are united not only in love but in faith. Our clergy work with each couple to prepare spiritually and celebrate this blessed union with dignity, joy, and holiness. Please reach out to us early if you are planning a wedding.

    Holy Communion (ቅዱስ ቁርባን)
“He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.” John 6:56 The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life. During liturgical services, we partake in the Holy Communion as a profound act of unity with Christ and one another. It is a moment of reflection, reverence, and renewal.
